Bushinkai: Traditional Karate, Nihon Jujutsu, Kobudo, Iaido, Tai Chi

Bushinkai, teaching the traditional martial arts of Japan, Okinawa and China is a member of the UK branch of Japan’s most venerable Budo organisation that is headed by some of the senior Japanese masters in the world.

Bushinkai student membership and grades are recognised by the Shikon organisation, under the main Karate and Wu Shu governing bodies. Bushinkai also has a lengthy relationship with Kokusai Budoin (IMAF). In 2003 Bushinkai joined Kokusai Budoin, and Bushinkai held club membership for a number of years and in 2014 we once again are affiliated to Kokusai Budoin UK.

Kokusai Budoin, International Martial Arts Federation (国際武道院・国際武道連盟 Kokusai Budoin Kokusai Budo Renmei) is a Japanese organisation promoting international Budō. The organisation, founded in 1952, has headquarters in Tokyo, Japan and has branches in around 17 countries. Kokusai Budoin is dedicated to the promotion and development of the martial arts worldwide. It was founded in 1952 by a group of some of Japan’s most prominent martial arts practitioners.

Our Hombu Dojo

Bushinkai’s Hombu Dojo is the Hakutora Academy at Van Dang Martial Arts. There we teach a system of Karate, Jujutsu and Kobudo called Hakuda Kempo Toshu Jutsu. We also have seminars in Iaido, Aikido, Judo and other arts.
