Self defence training for beginners and advanced

Through our Karate and Jujutsu school we teach an effective self defence method. Over the last 15 years of Bushinkai we have taught police, soldiers, doormen, fighters – as well as complete novices of all shapes and sizes.

As well as learning the core basics such as stances, posture, strikes, blocks, throws and join manipulation, from the very start beginners are taught basic effective self defence.

This kind of self defence is fairly universal and not dependant on style it includes simple basic techniques – headbutts, elbows, knees, gouges as well as responses to common violent attacks. Read more about the Bushinkai Method of Self Defence.

We don’t just defend against “Karate attacks” but all manner of chokes, grabs, strikes, bear hugs, hair grabs and so on. But all done is a safe environment. Here are some pictures of beginners training earlier this week.
